Insaaf Morcha jammed the National Highway-54 to demand justice in the six-year-old Bargadi sacrilege and Kotkapura and Bahibal Kalan shootings. For more than 125 days, a sit-in demonstration was being organized at the site of Bahibalkalan shooting.The Morcha had given the government a deadline till March 31 to take action against the culprits. The incidents related to the theft of a ‘bir’ (copy) of the Guru Ganth Sahib, putting up handwritten sacrilegious posters and torn pages of the holy book found scattered at Bargari, took place in Faridkot in 2015. Former state president of Congress Navjot Singh Sidhu, who reached the front, demanded the hearing of the Bargadi sacrilege and the Bahibalkalan and Kotkapura shootings in a fast track court. He said that if Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann resolves this important issue, then the entire Sikh community will hail him. He said that even though the number of people there was 500-700, there will be a day when it will be7 lakh and then the government will come under pressure and would have to take action. The son of Kishan Bhagwan Singh, who was killed in the Bahibalkalan firing on October 14, 2015, said that this fight was not his personal, but that of the entire Sikh community as the issue was about the sacrilege of Guru Maharaj. Panthak leaders said that there were some disturbances in the previous front and some of them had moved closer to the ruling party. But this time it would accept justice only. During this, a speaker took a dig in front of Navjat Singh Sidhu that the Congress government also did nothing except politics on this issue for five years. On the other hand, in view of the security, SAC Faridkot Varun Sharma along with other officers were present on the spot, 450 police personnel and officers have been deployed on the spot to maintain the security. As a precaution, the route of the Police-Administration National Highway has been diverted so that the drivers do not face any problem. After being ousted from power, the Congress party has once again remembered the Bargadi sacrilege incident and the Bahibal Kalan and Kotkapura shootings related to it, the party's top leader Navjot Singh Siddu, the party's former state president, in the Panthak Samagam called by the Insaaf Morcha on Wednesday. The leadership is arriving in a short time. On October 14, 2015, the place where two youths were killed in police firing in Bahibalkalan, both the victims' families along with others have formed an Insaaf Morcha demanding justice for a hundred and a half days. Is. By this Insaf Morcha, the present state government was given time till March 31, 2022 to demand punishment for the culprits of Bargadi sacrilege and Bahibalkalan and Kotkapura shootings. According to the Morcha, even after the ultimatum of March 31 ended, the state government did not take any strict action in this matter, in view of which a large Panthak protest was called at the front site in Bahibalkalan on 6 April, followed by Bathinda-Amritsar National Highway No. 54. It was decided to block indefinitely.
